DescriptionLeading the fight against diabetes by helping people with diabetes live healthy lives while working to find a cure through diabetes research, education, services and advocacy * offers information and presentations to the public * presentations include Diabetes: What You Need to Know, Living Well with Diabetes, Diabetes for Health-care Workers, About the Canadian Diabetes Association - Improving Lives * Children and youth presentations also offered * leaflets and cookbooks available * a registered charitable organization 
 
November is Diabetes Awareness Month 
 
Canadian Diabetes Association Clothesline Program collects clothing and small household appliance donations to be sold to Value Village, call 1-800-505-5525 to arrange for a free pick up 
 
Project Redial is a program of the Canadian Diabetes Association where unwanted cell phone(s) can be donated to help fund diabetes related programs and services while minimizing waste * old cell phones can be dropped off at the local Canadian Diabetes office or collected through the Clothesline program, see website for more details or call 1-800-505-5525 to arrange for a free pick up when donating clothes and other household items 
 
Diabetes Recycle Ink recycles empty or expired ink-jet and laser cartridges * used cartridges can be taken to the local branch office 
 
Canadian Diabetes Association is one of the charities benefiting from the Car Heaven vehicle donations program, call Car Heaven at 1-888-731-7311 for more information
VOLUNTEER_DESC* accepting volunteers, ages 14 years and up, for office work, data entry, assisting with community events, and the Speakers Bureau program
