Description (Service) Provide support and social gatherings to veterans and their families, and to the community * celebrates Legion Week in September * annual Poppy campaign is held the last Friday in October to Nov 11th * activities included are; tag days, a parade to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day, November 11, followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion * proceeds from the Poppy campaign are used to assist veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes 
Other annual events include: New Year's Eve Dance * Robbie Burns night the Saturday before January 25 * District Public Speaking contest in Februay * 'Fish Fry' in March * weekly bingo on Monday nights * ex-personnel and dependents program, usually four times a year by appointment, where someone visits to answer government and veterans financial concerns 
Provide a Bursary Program for eligible children or grandchildren of War Veterans who are Life or Ordinary Members of the Legion * contact the bursary chair for more information
