Technology for Seniors Program
|Description||Volunteers are recruited and trained to provide a free training program to qualified seniors in their home or in small groups. |
Home For Life Technology Trainers instruct seniors how to use computers, e-mail, Skype (video chat) and surf the Internet, to stay connected with family and friends.
This allows seniors to stay in contact with their support network and combat the loneliness that may lead to depression and illness.
This initiative fits with the program`s intention to relieve stress on seniors' care givers and their families, especially if they do not live in close proximity to one another.
