| Description | Organization whose goals are to provide support and social gatherings to veterans and their families, and to the community. Motto is 'Service not for self-but service for others'. Celebrates Legion Week in September. Annual Poppy campaign is held the first two weeks in November, activities included are; tag days; a parade to the cenotaph on Remembrance Day, November 11, followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion. Proceeds from the Poppy campaign are used to assist ex-veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes. |
