Bracebridge Library offers a variety of reading, listening and viewing materials, including hard cover, paperback and large print books, audio books on CD and Playaways, as well as DVD's, computer games, magazines, and newspapers, for all ages. E-books are available via the Library's website.

Large collection of local history documents, including books, microfilm, an audio living history collection, and vertical files, most of which is used only in the Library.

Wide range of online databases, including;

  • Ancestry.ca (Library Editon) for genealogists
  • downloadable books and audiobooks
  • Consumer's Reports
  • Small Engine Repair 
  • The Globe and Mail from 1844 on
  • resources for school projects, home improvements, teen health and NoveList (all about books and authors)

Services include:

  • reader's advisory
  • reference services
  • help with computers and e-readers
  • inter-library loan
  • volunteer visiting library service

Special programming for children is offered, including summer programming.

Library Book Club meets once a month.

Public computers for printing and internet access, word processing etc. Wireless internet access. Free one-on-one training on basic computer skills such as searching the internet, e-mail, and word processing. Specialized workshops.

Remote computer access to the collection and services is available through the Library website.
