| Description | Community-based legal clinic serving people with HIV/AIDS in Ontario. HALCO provides free advice, legal representation, and referrals. Areas of law include government income maintenance (ODSP/OW, CPP, EI, etc.), tenant issues, human rights, employment standards, immigration, substitute decision-making, regulated health professions complaints, HIV-related prison matters, privacy, and some private insurance matters. Also provides free public legal education workshops to community groups and service providers. Participates in networks, working groups, community development and law reform activities. | |||
