Cameco Capitol Arts Centre
|Description||The Capitol Theatre offers professional theatre, films from the Toronto Film Circuit, HD broadcasts live from the Metropolitan Opera and the British National Theatre, concert series, dance competitions and recitals and more. |
The Port Hope Festival Theatre is the production arm of the Capitol Theatre and presents professional summer theatre and the annual Christmas Panto.
Both the Capitol Theatre and the upstairs AK & Bob Sculthorpe Theatre are available on a rental basis to host community theatre, live concerts, lectures, information meetings and the like. The AK & Bob Sculthorpe studio is also available for company meetings, seminars, wedding receptions and parties.
At Christmas time, the entire Cameco Capitol Arts Centre is decked out in designer-decorated trees which are raffled off as a fundraiser for the Theatre.
