Description

Description (Service) Provides a basket of food and toys to families and individuals in need for the Holiday season.

Hampers include:
  • voucher for a turkey or ham
  • sugar
  • milk
  • bread
  • canned goods
  • gifts or gift certificate for children up to 15 years of age
Donations of toys and financial donations are gratefully appreciated. Toys must be new and unwrapped.

Also hold two events to collect donations:
STUFF A BUS:
  • Collecting food for those in need this holiday season
  • Located in Alliston at Giant Tiger, Zehrs and Walmart
  • In partnership with New Tecumseth Fire Rescue, Landmark Bus Lines and FM 92.1 South Simcoe
STUFF A CRUISER:
  • Collecting unwrapped toys for children up to 12 years of age and cash donations for older children's gift certificates
  • Located in Alliston at Giant Tiger, Canadian Tire and Walmart
  • In partnership with Nottawasaga OPP

Hours 2023 Christmas Hamper Registration:
  • Thu Nov 24, 2023 - 3 pm-5 pm, 6:30 pm-8 pm
  • Tue Nov 28, 2023 - 3 pm-5 pm, 6:30 pm-8 pm
  • Thu Dec 1, 2023 - 6:30 pm-8 pm
Hampers will be delivered by Lions Members and friends of Lions on Fri Dec 16 and Dec 17, 2023

STUFF A BUS: Sat Dec 2, 2023 - 9 am-3 pm

STUFF A CRUISER: Sat Nov 25, 2023 - 9 am-3 pm

Eligibility
  • Individuals or families (with children aged 15 yrs and under) who are facing food insecurity
  • Attempts will be made to serve as many families as possible

    Application To register for a hamper:
  • Must apply in person at the Alliston Lions Club, 60 Boyne Street Alliston or call office
  • Dress for conditions, the waiting will be outside
  • Identification for all individuals in the home
  • Disclosure of any social program participation Qualified Recipients will be called the day of delivery and must be home to receive hampers. Picture identification will be required.

    Donations can be brought to the Alliston Lions Club. Financial donations can be make online or by cheque, made payable to ""Alliston Lions Club" with "Christmas Hamper" in the memo field
