Description

Description (Service) Needle exchange program available to help prevent the spread of HIV and hepatitis B and C that may occur through the sharing of or the improper disposal of needles, crack smoking equipment and other drug paraphernalia by providing a reliable and accessible supply of sterile injecting and smoking equipment that will assist in reducing the risk of blood borne infections.

Service is anonymous.

Clients are encouraged to place their used needles in the containers provided to them and return them to the CONTACT office. Clients can drop off their used needles in any closed container, such as a coffee tin. Additional personal disposal containers are available upon request.

  • Shorts - thinner needles
  • Regular needles
  • Safe inhalation kits
  • Kits for hormone injections
  • Kits for steroids
