Description (Service) | Works with the community to improve water quality and stream habitat along local waterways Volunteers of all ages and sectors of the community are engaged to protect and promote a healthy natural environment Projects include planting native trees and shrubs, mulching and monitoring to stabilizing eroding banks Location and project determined by committee made of representatives from municipal councils, conservation authorities, government ministries, industry, schools, clubs and local residents Work party days are held throughout the year Donations of time, labour, materials, sponsorship, currency or simply providing refreshments to volunteers are welcome Call for more information |
