Description (Service) COVID 19 - Library is operating with curbside pick up for books and materials.  LIBRARY is OPEN as a Warming Centre during regular operating hours with a Community Refrigerator for anyone who might need food as well.

The Cookstown Library & ideaLAB is part of a four-branch system with locations in Stroud, Alcona, Churchill (temporarily closed) and Cookstown 

The Library is open to the public at limited capacity operating under a Browse, Borrow & Go model which means:
  • In-person visits are welcome but should be kept to one hour or less
  • Computers will be available for one 60 minute session per person, per day
  • Curbside pickup is still available
  • All patrons (except those who are exempt) must wear a mask when coming into the Library or picking up curbside materials
Registration is required for all Children's Programs.  Contact tracing/screening is mandatory for participation

Extreme Cold Warming Centre

On days when the temperature dips to -15┬░ Celsius or below and/or a weather advisory is released, the library will be available as a warming centre during regular operating hours
