Description (Service) COVID19 - Office fully closed * staff can be reached via phone or email 
Provides fire suppression and emergency services * education around fire prevention and protection * inspections upon request * tours and public education services * and inspections upon request. 
 
Superior Tanker Shuttle Accreditation is available for rural homeowners. The paperwork can be found on the fire department's page of the township's web site. 
 
Open air burning is permitted in the municipality but only with a current annual burn permit; available on-line from the town website or at the township office. 
 
Two stations serving the municipality: 
* Thornton Fire Station: 34 Robert St 
* Angus Fire Station: 135 King St
