Description (Service)

Employment Supports is a component of the Ontario Disability Support Program. The program assists persons with disabilities to find employment, advance to another job if under employed, overcome a disability-related job crisis to maintain employment and retain long term employment.

FOCUS is an approved service provider for the Employment Supports program. Some of the supports available include the following:

help finding a job
help preparing for work
help with job retention
job coaching
on-the-job training
software and mobility devices
assistive devices and training
special clothing
other needed items

Service Details

Hours	Hours: Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm Wed 4:30 pm-7 pm virtual extended hours
Areas Served	Aurora ; Barrie ; Bradford West Gwillimbury ; Essa ; Innisfil ; New Tecumseth ; Newmarket
Eligibility	a resident of Ontario able to work in Canada have a disability that is expected to last a year or more have a disability that makes it hard for you to find or keep a job students who wish to work part-time while going to school may be eligible for Employment Supports do not have to be receiving financial assistance from Ontario Disability Support Program to be eligible for Employment Supports cannot receive Employment Supports if you are receiving financial assistance from Ontario Works 16 year(s) and up
