The Fire and Emergency Services provides a wide range of services including:

  • Fire suppression
  • Motor vehicle accident response
  • Hazardous material response
  • Fire prevention
  • Public education
  • Ice/water rescue response
  • Enforcement of the Ontario Fire Code
  • Medical aid response
  • Investigation of the causes of fire

The Fire Prevention Officer enforces the Ontario Fire Code for all occupied buildings falling under our jurisdiction, such as apartments, care facilities, commercial and industrial sites.

Office sells burn permits and provides fire extinguisher training
