| Description (Service) | COVID-19 Update Christmas Cheer will not be accepting Food, Toys, Gift Cards, Clothing, Toiletries, or Hand-Made Goods of any kind this year * for the safety of all, a strictly financial campaign will be run in 2020 made up of monetary donations from corporate sponsors, local schools, and the community * all applications are to be completed online * no volunteer opportunities will be posted this year Regular Service Put together and distribute hampers at Christmas to families of Barrie and district who are in need * each hamper contains ingredients for a full-course Christmas dinner, as well as lunch and breakfast foods for about a week * each child up to ten years receives a new quality toy and youths ages 11-16 years receive a gift certificate * donations can be made online at the Barrie and District Christmas Cheer website, sent by mail or dropped off at a centre * donor gifts can be made in someone's name (receive a gift card to give) |
