Description (Service) The Simcoe Muskoka office of the Canadian Cancer Society has shut down. For information and support call Ontario Office/Cancer Information Service at 1-888-939-3333.

Canadian Cancer Society office, services include:
  • information on cancer, treatment, and risk reduction
  • support for people living with cancer, family members and friends
  • Wheels of Hope program provides rides to people needing transportation to cancer treatment appointments, call 1-800-263-6750, option 3
  • funds research on all types of cancer
  • for information about hair donations see the Canadian Cancer Society website
Volunteer Description
  • Volunteer 18 years and up needed for Wheels of Hope Transportation Program
  • Youth and Adult volunteers needed for fundraising, residential canvas, daffodil days, peer support, health promotions, office support, special events, Relay For Life

Areas Served Muskoka District ; Simcoe County ; Wheels of Hope will provide individuals living in Simcoe County and Muskoka District with transportation to appointments within and outside of Simcoe County and Muskoka District, as well as to Newmarket and Toronto and other locations as needed.

Fees Program - patients who register with transportation services will be required to pay $100 registration fee. Youth 18 yrs old or younger not charged. If unable to pay full registration fee, may be eligible for assistance ; None - for other services.
