Description (Service)

Wasa-Nabin (Ojibway meaning 'To Look Ahead') Program is designed to provide comprehensive services to urban Indigenous at-risk youth between the ages of 13-18 with the support, tools and healthy activities designed to promote goal attainment, healthy choices and wholistic wellbeing
Program components include:

  • peer mentorship
  • physical activity and exercise
  • access to healthy meals
  • cultural teachings
  • Land-based learning
  • volunteer opportunities
  • school and homework help
  • life skill building
  • 2SLGBTQIAA+ support
  • community gatherings
