Description (Service) Volunteer led not-for-profit association, which provides a wide range of programs and services to, and on behalf of, its member organizations * provincial network of organized snowmobile trails connects Ontario communities providing responsible riding experiences that are safe, enjoyable and environmentally sustainable * initiatives include a safety education program * offers Driver's Training Course, six hours, and gives an exam for those who do not have a motor vehicle licence to obtain a snowmobile driver's licence for ages 12 and up * OFSC member snowmobile clubs contact information is listed on the website or see listing for local office for Barrie area: MID1020 * local office can provide trail guides and trail conditions 
 
Trail Permits must be purchased online * refer to website * a trail permit must be purchased before traveling on any trail * Trail maps are available at Ontario Travel Centres throughout Ontario, or from snowmobile clubs * interactive trail guides, a mobile trail app or GPS trail maps which provide trail conditions, are available on website
