| Description (Service) | Guiding citizens, businesses and local leaders towards actions that foster sustainability and resilience in our community * promotes a safe and healthy environment for the community by providing access to credible environmental information, leading the community by example and researching and initiating new ways to help the community Live Green * can provide knowledgeable people to speak to schools and other groups on various environmental topics including energy, energy efficiency, pesticides, air or water pollution, bio-fuels, nuclear power and various other topics Projects include: * GreenScreen and workshops, series featuring films, speakers and workshops with an environmental theme * Tree Plantings- including community tree plantings, neighbourhood tree plantings, and more, towards our campaign 10 000 Trees for Barrie, see 10 000 Trees for Barrie |
