Description (Service) Helps maintain and enhance the City of Barrie’s downtown core * strives to make it a vibrant, friendly, safe and exciting community for residents, visitors, businesses and business owners * operated by an elected Board of Management * monthly passes for City of Barrie parking lots can be purchased at this office, CASH ONLY * Heritage Ornament Collection-pewter ornaments available, see website for details 
 
Assists with and organizes many unique Downtown Barrie Events’ including:  
 
Celebrate Autumn in the City It is Autumn in the City and it’s time to celebrate the beauty of change together with the downtown community 
 
Downtown Barrie’s October Tasting Trail  
Various Downtown Cafes, Bistros and Food Shoppes  
Every Saturday in October 2019  
Follow the trail and sample some of the food and drink options the city has to offer * purchase a Tasting Trail passport at any participating locations and collect signatures and be entered to win a prize package * proceeds support local services groups and organizations 
 
Heritage Ornament Collection 
Available at Select Downtown Retailers  
November and December 2019  
Eighteen pewter ornaments available for sale featuring historical landmarks-- Allandale Railway Station, Old Town Hall and Market Place, Old Royal Victoria Hospital, Carnegie Library, Old Barrie Fire Hall, the Opera House, the Wellington Hotel, Barrie Arena, Mulcaster Street Armoury, Simcoe Hotel, Memorial Square, Barrie Central Collegiate, Steel’s China and Gift Shop, Court House Hill, Old Barrie Gaol, and the newly released ornament of The Queens Hotel, Prince of Wales Public School and the newly released ornament of the Lakeview Dairy

Start the holiday season with this annual tradition held in conjunction with the Santa Claus Parade and a visit from Santa * cap it off with a fireworks show  
 
Downtown Barrie’s Noëlla Festival 
November 16 to December 31, 2019  
The holiday season comes alive in downtown Barrie * grab a hot cocoa and take in the ‘Festive Window Displays and ’Holiday Lights' or take the family skating at the City Hall Ice Rink * purchase a Christmas Tree at the 'Noëlla Tree Lot & Market, proceeds support local charities * the season caps off with the Downtown ‘New Years’ Countdown at City Hall * expect the unexpected!  
 
Downtown Barrie’s #Hot Cocoa Trail 
Weekends in February 2020  
Various Downtown Cafes and Coffee Shoppes  
The #Hot Cocoa Trail returns featuring a variety of delicious and unique versions of hot chocolate * while following the trail, help spread the warmth and comfort to others * participating locations will be accepting donations in support of local service groups and organizations
