Youth competition

• Fair Ambassador will receive a scholarship and represent the Fall Fair during the four days of the Fair and at community events throughout the year
• Ambassadors will attend leadership conferences, and the Senior Ambassador will compete at the CNE Ambassador Competition representing the Barrie Fair, as well as networking with other fair ambassadors from across the province

Prizes/Benefits:

• Junior winner will receive $750 scholarship, sash/medallion, crown/hat, one year of leadership conferences and opportunities representing the Barrie Fair
• Senior winner will receive $1,500 scholarship, sash/medallion, crown/hat, one year of leadership conferences and opportunities representing the Barrie Fair
• Every competitor will receive a gift for competing

• Junior Ambassador 13-16 years of age
  
• Senior Ambassador 17-23 years of age
  
• must reside in the Barrie and surrounding area, must never have been married or have children
  
• senior contestant must have never represented an Agricultural Fair as an ambassador at the Canadian National Exhibition

• contestants will be judged based on an interview, speech, answer of an impromptu question (senior only), and overall deportment during an informal social where a light meal will be offered
