Disability benefits

• for people who have made enough contributions to the CPP and who are disabled and cannot work at any job on a regular basis
• benefits may also be available to their dependent children

• Under 65yrs
  
• severe and prolonged disability
  
• contributed to the CPP for the required number of years
  
• dependent children of contributor 0-18yrs, Youth 18-25yrs who are full-time students

  • paper application form can be printed from website, see Apply for CPP - Disability Benefits or can picked up at Service Canada Centres
  • do not delay in sending completed application forms
  • date that written application is received affects the date benefit begins
• to request a phone call from a Service Canada representative complete an online request at Service Request
