Description (Service) Canadian Armed Forces Army Reserve Unit 
  • army is the land component of the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserve 
  • 5 main categories of the army: armoured, artillery, infantry, field engineers, and combat/service support 
  • Reserve Unit is part-time often active on weekends and performs duties such as assisting in fighting floods or forest fires, searching for lost people, medical emergencies, UN tours, and participating in parades

  • Unit parades: Thu 7:30 pm-10:30 pm

  • Canadian citizen  
  • minimum of Grade 10 High School Education (15 Ontario High School credits) 
  • good health and physical condition  
  • no obligations to the legal system
