Description (Service)	Barrie Historical Archive is a free, online museum that centralizes Barrie's historical content in the form of images, video, documents and audio * archive exists to preserve, protect and promote Barrie's history through digital media To build the archive, volunteers with the Barrie Historical Archive borrow photos, slides, film and videos taken in Barrie * volunteers work with professionals to ensure borrowed property is cared for and digitized professionally to be used in the archive * every contributor is recognized by name with each archival entry Funded entirely by community donations * financial donations used for film transfer, web hosting, promotional materials, design and rental expenses
