The City’s customer service centre, Service Barrie, remains reachable by email or phone: ServiceBarrie@barrie.ca or 705-726-4242 * Service Barrie reps are available Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm * Residents are encouraged to visit barrie.ca/OnlineServices to apply for small building permits, pay for parking or speeding tickets, and more * Starting July 13, in-person services will be available by appointment only, Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30 pm * Appointments must be booked in advance by calling 705-726-4242 
 
Regular Service 
Provides information about water services delivered to residences and businesses in the City of Barrie in accordance with Bylaw 99-290 * inquiries are either answered directly or are forwarded to the appropriate city department * residents can call with questions about water chlorination, water hardness and regulations regarding drinking water testing and safety, swimming pool filling, water meters * inquiries about water conservation, non-potable water, environmental response to hazardous spills in water and sewage treatment will be forwarded to the appropriate department

Water Conservation Program 
 
Promotes water conservation for its residents * a rebate of $50 is available for residents who purchase a low flow toilet (six litres or less/flush toilet) * City of Barrie will provide a maximum of one rebate per dwelling and new toilets must replace existing toilets that use more than six litres per flush * rebate program began Oct 17, 2005 and is available to residents of Barrie who reside in homes built before 1996
