Description (Service) COVID-19 Response
  • one-on-one in-person appointments are available and must be made in advance, walk-in appointments are not available
  • for in-person visits all patients will be actively screened for COVID-19 at the time of booking and again on-site at the point of entry for your appointment
  • If you have an in-person appointment scheduled at the BCHC and develop COVID-19 symptoms prior to the day of your appointment, please DO NOT COME TO THE BCHC and call the clinic at 705-734-9690 to inform reception of the change in your health
Primary Care Appointments
  • Call 705-734-9690 to book an appointment with a Physician, Nurse Practitioner or the clinic Nurse
  • for appointments with a Diabetes Educator or Physiotherapist, ask your family physician or nurse practitioner to send a referral on your behalf
  • Social Work - all one-on-one social work counselling appointments will be conducted in person or via virtual appointments
  • Physiotherapy - all physiotherapy appointments are available in person or via virtual appointments
  • Dietitian - all appointments will be conducted in person, via phone or video conferencing
  • Diabetes - all appointments will be conducted via phone or in person if requested by the patient
  • Virtual Visits - some appointments are being made available through e-visits OTN or Zoom
  • In person OTN visits are available by scheduling with the receptionist
Regular Service
7-week education and exercise program delivered by a certified physiotherapist for people with symptoms of mild to severe hip or knee osteoarthritis (OA):
  • goal of the program is to reduce symptoms, and increase physical activity and quality of life for its participants
  • program teaches participants how to control movements to improve everyday functional activities
  • includes 2 education classes, 12 tailored neuromuscular exercise sessions (twice a week for 6 weeks) and quality monitoring of the program through collecting participant's outcome results from functional tests
