Service Details
Public Comments July 3, 2018 - Effective November 2018, Barrie Out of the Cold will not be operating nightly (November-April) at area churches. Instead overnight shelter will be provided at the Busby Centre, 88 Mulcaster Street under the direction of Busby staff.

Barrie Out of the Cold will also work closely with Busby to transition the organization’s knowledge, history, volunteer base and donors to the new group lodging operation. This collaborative process is expected to take some time, and some Barrie Out of the Cold board members and long-time volunteers will be a part of the process and integrated into the new organization.

Existing Barrie Out of the Cold volunteers and those interested in volunteering at the new group lodging program at the David Busby Street Centre are invited to visit http://www.busbycentre.ca/ or email getconnected@busbycentre.ca.
