Description

Description (Service)

Registered charity that collects and distributes gift-filled Shoeboxes to local women's shelters and community agencies serving women, girls and gender-diverse individuals impacted by homelessness

  • Shoeboxes are distributed during the holiday season and for other special occasions and events throughout the year
  • each Shoebox is filled with items valued at $50 and personal notes of encouragement to enhance self-esteem and reduce feelings of isolation
  • Shoebox can be filled with items such as gift cards, skin care products, good quality soaps and shampoos, make up, chocolates
  • Shoeboxes can be put together by individuals, sports groups or companies
  • Student Shoebox gift drives are a creative and hands-on group activity for students at the primary, secondary, or post-secondary level
  • online donations are available and tax receipts will be provided year round
  • if you would like to be a sponsor, host an event or volunteer on their committee, please email simcoecounty@shoeboxproject.com
