Eligibility Ages: 60 year(s) - 64 year(s) 
All of the following conditions must be met: aged 60 to 64 (includes the month of 65th birthday), spouse or common-law partner receives an Old Age Security pension (OAS) and is eligible for the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS), Canadian citizen or a legal resident, reside in Canada and have resided in Canada for at least 10 years since the age of 18, spouse or common-law partner’s annual combined income is less than the maximum allowable annual threshold * see website for threshold and more details
Application Apply for 6 to 11 months before 60th birthday * apply in writing by mail * application and other necessary forms available on website
