Description (Service)

FM Tracking program for vulnerable individuals who are at risk of wandering. This includes persons living with dementia, autism spectrum disorder, acquired brain injury, or a mental health condition. Program consists of:

A watch sized tracking device worn by the vulnerable individual that emits a unique FM radio frequency signal every second
Bracelets require daily battery testing to ensure device is operating properly
Batteries and bracelet bands require changing every 60 days

The Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County handles the administration of Project Lifesaver

Barrie Police and South Simcoe Police operate the FM responders if a search is required
All participants are added to the Barrie Police/South Simcoe Police Vulnerable Person's registry
