Description (Service) COVID-19 Response
The following Empower Simcoe programs are temporarily closed until further notice:
  • EarlyON Child and Family Centres in Barrie, Bradford and Innisfil
  • Community Support Day Services in Barrie and Orillia
  • Employment Support Services
  • Transition Services
  • Youth Services including Wednesday Evening Bash and Orillia Ultimate Thursdays
Regular Service
Empower Simcoe promotes the inclusion of all youth, regardless of ability, in both their school and community. Youth programs include Wednesday Evening Bash (WEB) during the school year, and the summer Youth in Action (YIA) program.

WEB offers fun, social and recreational activities to high school aged youth regardless of ability. Youth plan and participate in a variety of events including bowling, movies, sports, dances and more. Youth workers also work with local high schools and community groups to promote and develop inclusive opportunities for youth such as Circle of Friends, Youth conferences, March Break activities and short term workshops.

YIA is a summer program that provides young people with the opportunity to expand their communication, social, leisure, work and life skills while participating in community projects.YIA is broken into one and two week sessions that each have a unique focus.Each week includes one day trip, activities and practical learning experiences. YIA also offers two overnight camping trips.
