| Description (Service) | Provides prenatal and well baby care for women and children (up to the age of 6 years) without a family doctor in the Barrie area Offers one on one breastfeeding support provided by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), who is also a Registered Nurse * includes education on a variety of breastfeeding topics including positioning to ensure a proper latch and to prevent breastfeeding problems, good nutrition for breastfeeding and problem solving breastfeeding issues All women in the Barrie area are eligible for breastfeeding services within this program, whether they have a family doctor or not |
