Public Comments | This COVID-19 Testing Clinic is for walk-ins or booked appointments * see Eligibility below for new testing criteria * For Pharmacies in Barrie currently offering COVID-19 testing for asymptomatic individuals see BAR2251 During the COVID-19 emergency, regular care will be provided by your Family Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Walk-in Clinics and Urgent Care, and it may include phone assessments, virtual care or in-person assessments * see Barrie and Area Health for information about accessing safe health care during COVID-19 Pandemic People who are unsure if they should visit an assessment centre should: * use an online self-assessment tool * first call your Family Physician or Nurse Practitioner * if you do not have a Family Physician/Nurse Practitioner or your regular healthcare provider is not available, call the Barrie & Community Family Medicine - Walk-in Clinics or the Huronia Urgent Care Clinic * If these options are unavailable, then you should contact Telehealth Ontario: 1-866-797-0000 At the assessment centre, you will be seen by a healthcare professional, who will provide you with the necessary care and instructions for follow up, if required |

Eligibility | Testing is for patients showing COVID-19 symptoms Residents without symptoms are asked to go to an Assessment Centre for testing if they meet the new provincial criteria Provincial criteria: • Were notified by public health or the COVID Alert app that they have been exposed to a confirmed case of the virus • They live or work in a setting that has a COVID-19 outbreak • Are eligible for testing as part of a targeted testing initiative as determined by the Ministry of Health or Ministry of Long-Term Care People may also be tested at an assessment centre if they: • Live, work or visit a long-term care home • Live or work in homeless shelters or group homes • International students passed their 14-day quarantine period • Farm workers • Are from an Indigenous community • Other setting-specific populations, as outlined in CMOH guidance (e.g. asymptomatic cancer patients). • Asymptomatic travellers |
