Description (Service)

Services to help seniors to continue to live independently in their homes. Program offers a combination of:

Personal support services - help with personal hygiene, dressing and assistance with premeasured medications, mobility and other activities of daily living
Homemaking Services - light housecleaning, shopping and meal preparation
Security Checks or Reassurance Service - may include personal alarm to wear, in case of an emergency
Care Coordination - linking other community services (e.g. Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Programs) to care provided by primary health care professionals

Independent Living Services of Simcoe County and Area is a member of the Simcoe Muskoka Integrated Fall Strategy (SMIFS).

Hours	Hours vary, evening and weekend assistance can be arranged in advance

Eligibility	Age Requirement: 65 yrs and up Formal Assessment by North Simcoe Muskoka Home and Community Care is required Individuals appropriate (eligible) for services must reside within the geographic area in which the services are offered, presently operating in the North East/West area of Barrie.
