Description (Service) Mission Statement Save Lake Simcoe and protect its future 
* To reduce the annual phosphorus loading to the lake to 44 tonnes by the year 2045  
* To increase environmental awareness and concern in the Lake Simcoe watershed 
* To increase public participation in activities which promote the health of the watershed 
* To encourage land use planning decisions and building techniques that will protect forests, wetlands, working farms, and Lake Simcoe 
Formed through the coming together of founding groups, on July 30, 2003, to help save the lake * coalition of 13 member groups represents thousands of people * focus on promoting dialogue between citizens and their governments around the lake * Board is comprised of individuals who shaped the 2008 Lake Simcoe Protection Act and the new governance of the Lake, and remain active in their own Lake Simcoe communities and lake-wide committees today * partner with Environmental Defence and the Ladies of the Lake, and with local groups where appropriate on specific issues 
Under the banner of Campaign Lake Simcoe partnered with Environmental Defence, Ontario Nature, and many local partners to launch the idea, and shepherd the passage of the Lake Simcoe Protection Act (2008) and Plan (2009)
