Description (Service) Helps people affected by emergencies and disasters - from house fires to a regional floods * mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery * works with governments and humanitarian organizations to provide for people's basic needs - food, clothing, shelter, first aid, emotional support and family reunification * specific services offered based on community's needs * volunteerism

Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm * Disaster Response Volunteers: Mon-Sun 24 hours, 365 days of the year * volunteers meet every month
Areas Served Haliburton ; Kawartha Lakes ; Muskoka District ; Simcoe County
Boundaries Dividing line to the south is Hwy 89 for all programs, same as LHIN boundary
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up
Application Activated by emergency services * self referral: call the Simcoe County Branch
Languages English ; French - Website, Publications, Interpretation depending on availability of staff
