Description

Description (Service)

    Provides film fans with unique experiences through year-round programming

    • Annual film festival held in October featuring award-winning Independent, World and Canadian films, Shorts Competition, and a number of offsite additions including galas, educational workshops and guest Q&As
    • Reel Stories, mini-film festival, takes place in March and is a socially conscious program of the Barrie Film Festival, primarily concerned with raising awareness and highlighting current issues in the world through documentary and drama and fact-based films.
    • Screen One is a monthly film series, shown the first Wednesday every month, except during the summer
    • Lawn Chair Luminata Waterfront Series consists of outdoor film screenings with family-friendly films presented free-of-charge to the Barrie community at Meridian Place in July and August
    • Outdoor screenings also held at Park Place in July and August
    • Annual Short Film Competition held, check website for details
