Description (Service) The Culture Branch, within the Creative Economy Department, oversees a Cultural Grants Program which allows local arts groups and individual artists to apply for municipal funding to support their operating and project costs 
Two basic types of grants are operating grants and project grants * Both grants exist for not-for-profit organizations that have been operating in the community for more than two years, have a board structure and are Barrie based * Arts organizations can apply for a project grant up to a maximum of $5,000 * Grant applications are due in December of each year, see website for more details
