Description

Description (Service) Literacy and basic skills training including numeracy, digital (computer basics), communication and interpersonal skills
  • helps learners prepare for employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education and greater independence
Services are provided through Independent study; tutoring; small groups
Volunteer Description Tutoring students on a one-on-one basis or in a small group,
  • adult reading, math skills and writing lessons
  • volunteers must be mature, have attended an Information Session before taking the Tutor Training Workshop
  • Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector screening mandatory
