Description (Service)

Assessment and intervention services for infants and preschool children who are blind or low vision as diagnosed by an ophthalmologist

  • Child and Family Intervention Services and Childcare Consultation available
  • provides a Family Support Worker to families of eligible children where indicated
  • will assist families to access service when low vision/blindness is suspected but accessing a diagnosis is difficult

  • Age Requirements: 4 year(s) and under
  • Screening of infants and children up to junior kindergarten age with a diagnosis of blind or low vision

  • Intake worker gathers basic information and mails a background information package for child's family to fill out
