At the Barrie Literacy Council, we value volunteerism as the heart of our organization. We believe that volunteers play a crucial role in delivering our services effectively.

Our Information Sessions are designed to answer these questions and introduce you to the various volunteer opportunities available, including:

  • Tutors: Work one-on-one with a student to help improve their literacy skills.
  • Board and Committee Members: Help guide and manage the organization’s operations.

If you’re interested in becoming a tutor, training sessions will follow shortly after the Information Session.
