Description

Description (Service)

Offers a three month abstinence based residential program:

  • access to individual, group, and family counselling sessions
  • daily 12 step meetings and a sponsor to guide you through the steps
  • enhance life skills, and prepare clients for both employment and volunteer opportunities
  • wellness space offers X-Fit, yoga, acupuncture, guided meditation classes and more
  • trained professionals with lived experience and extensive education strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all residents
  • graduates receive a free 9-month Wellness membership to support their on-going recovery. The residential addiction facility remains a home for alumni to drop by, stay connected and support those who have just arrived
  • 10 private bedrooms with a private bathroom
  • 3 larger Transitional housing units for community re-entry

Accepts donations of clothing and household items. Bin is located at the Barrie Wastewater Facility, 167 Bradford St, Barrie. Visit website for list of acceptable items.

Eligibility Women over 18 years of age who are willing to commit to the work of recovery. Candidates for admission must demonstrate their willingness to share responsibilities at both The Garden and the Recovery Community Centre, consent to random drug and/or alcohol testing and do whatever it takes to stay sober and free from drug use.
