Description

Description (Service)

"WIISINADAA" translates to "Let's Eat" in Ojibwe. Within the Indigenous community, the concept of food is intrinsically linked to shared experiences and time spent with family and friends.

Program aims to:

  • promote healthy eating, ethical harvesting, and sustainable practices through a variety of programs and services
  • goal is to provide the urban Indigenous community of Barrie with meaningful opportunities for hands-on learning about clean eating; knowledge can then be passed on to friends and family, fostering a tradition of healthy and sustainable living
  • program emphasizes a traditional way of eating with a modern twist
