Description

Description (Service)

Provides supports to families who have a family member living at home who has an intellectual disability. Support can be provided to:

assist families in accessing community resources that would benefit their family member
support families during periods of transitions within elementary school, secondary school and future planning
consult with professionals and co-ordinate services as requested by the family
provide information, resources, strategies as challenges present
assist families in applying for supports and resources as appropriate
