| Description (Service) | Community volunteer-run service providing Christmas hampers for families in need. Due to COVID-19, the hampers in 2021 will solely consist of an envelope of gift cards to local stores. Individuals and families in need who wish to receive a hamper should contact their social worker, counselor, school principal, health professional, service agency or minister to make a referral by Nov 17, 2021. Note - your name is NOT automatically on the list. To maintain the integrity of the program, names must be referred by one of the above listed agencies. Pick up location is St Anthony's Church Hall, 749 Russell St on specified day. The usual Christmas Knights collection day in Kincardine will NOT be taking place this year. Monetary donations/gift cards can be mailed to Rhodora Doughty, P.O. Box 527 Kincardine, ON, N2Z 2Y9. Cheques should be made payable to Kincardine Community Services Association. Alternatively, they can be dropped off at Century 21 Sunset Realty office at 330 Durham Market Square S in Kincardine, Mon-Sat 9:30 pm-4:30 pm, Nov 8-24, 2021. E-transfers can be sent to Kincardinehampers@gmail.com. Please ensure your name and full mailing address is in the message section if you would like an income tax receipt. |
