Description

Description (Service)

Provides Christmas assistance including food for low income families and toys for children under 16 years old.

Donations are needed and welcomed - to see what donations are most needed at this time, call Community and Family Services.

  • Food, toys and money can be dropped off Mon, Tue and Fri, 9 am-12 noon and 1 pm-3 pm. Donations by cheque are to be made payable to The Salvation Army Food Bank.
  • Donations of food and toys can also be dropped off in drop boxes located at the Independent Grocery store, Giant Tiger and at the Foodland in Southampton.
  • Other toy drop off boxes are located throughout the community (the Iota Phi Toy Drive collects toys on behalf of The Salvation Army).

Volunteers will be needed - call The Salvation Army for more information on volunteering for the Christmas Kettle Drive.

Hours Mon, Tue and Fri 9 am-12 noon, 1 pm-3 pm
Registration: Applications for Christmas Assistance 2024 are being taken 1 pm-3:30 pm on Nov 14, Nov 28, Dec 5, and Dec 12.
For households not receiving toys, pick up will take place on Tue, Dec 17, 2024, 10 am 2 pm.
For households receiving toys (with children 16 and under), pick up will take place on Thu, Dec 19, 2024, 10 am-2 pm.
