Description (Service)
  • Operates a municipal waste transfer site/landfill for solid waste 
  • Provides separate bins on-site for garbage and recycling with all wastes then trucked off reserve for disposal or recycling 
  • Accepts household hazardous waste such as paints, solvents, cleaners, motor oil, batteries etc  
  • Provides an on-site Transfer Station attendant
NOTE: Wasauksing First Nation has agreement with Wasausink Lands Inc (WLI) for cottagers to use waste transfer station; WLI cottagers have own bins for garbage and recycling

  • Recycling is mandatory
