Description (Service) The dental clinic is part of the Community Care Health & Care Network's Community Health Centre. 
Good oral health is important to everyone's overall health. Cavities and gum disease can be painful and may lead to serious infections. Pain can result in loss of sleep impact on the ability to eat, and can affect children's ability to learn and grow. Good oral health is also important for self esteem and a sense of well-being. 
The community Care Dental Clinic can help local residents identify oral health problems before they start. 
Services include for eligible clients: 
* examinations 
* x-rays 
* cleanings/scaling 
* fillings 
* extractions 
* sealants 
* fluoride treatments 
* root canals (selective) 
* dentures (selective) 
* prevention and education 
* referrals 
* walk-in emergencies accepted

Closed daily between 12:30 & 1:30 pm
Areas Served Kawartha Lakes
Eligibility Residents of the City of Kawartha Lakes who are:  
* Low income residents who do not carry private dental insurance 
* Receiving social assistance: Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, Children in Need of Treatment and Health Smiles Ontario 
* Without a regular dentist
