Description (Service) Centre for community care.

Services:
  • serves as the site for a free high school lunch program and is, at present, the primary contributor to the Georgian Triangle Youth Ministry (GTYM), a partnership of a number of local ministries and organizations working together to provide a safe and welcoming place for high school students. Baked goods and refreshments are made available four days a week, with a hotdog lunch on Wednesdays. Students also have the opportunity to gain their community hours required for graduating high school.
  • a Community Cupboard, in conjunction with Youth Unlimited's 'Clothing Room', providing clothing, food, toiletries, cleaning supplies and small kitchenwares free of charge.
  • after hours access to needed items is provided through the out-of-doors Giving Tree and Closet, both of which contain seasonal items that may be of help to passersby.
  • serves as homebase for a mobile soup kitchen, run by members of the community. The group begins their Monday and Wednesday soup runs from Hope Chapel at 4 pm and travel throughout the community of Collingwood.
Hope Chapel also makes meals for the Out of the Cold Shelter on a monthly basis.
