Description
Description (Service) | Provide support and social gatherings to veterans and their families, and to the community. Celebrates Legion Week in September. Annual Poppy campaign in October until November 11th. Activities include tag days, Remembrance Day parade followed by a service at the cenotaph and comradeship at the Legion. Proceeds from the Poppy campaign are used to assist veterans and their families, bursaries for education, literacy and poster contest prizes.
Provide a Bursary Program for eligible children or grandchildren of War Veterans who are Life or Ordinary Members of the Legion. Contact the bursary chair for more information. |
